She was doing pretty well with those and would eat almost an entire container in one sitting.
Then I decided to start making her food myself last week. I figured I have the time and it's easy enough. It's a lot more pricy to buy things fresh and the prepackaged stuff is definitely more convenient but what the hell?
The only problem is that she won't eat anything I make. It's not like I've tried any new or weird foods either. I've stuck with the basics and things she already has tried and liked.
I'm not sure if it's just a phase or if she just needs to get used to the fresh stuff. It's really discouraging though and feels like a waste to have to just throw it out after many unsuccessful attempts.
I suppose I really should just start freezing it and retrying later. I can't force it down her throat though and if she doesn't like it she doesn't like it.
The only thing she definitely will eat is rice cereal and oatmeal. She still loves snacks and anything that she can feed herself, such as small pieces of bread.
She doesn't even want me feeding her anymore. Every time I bring the spoon close to her face, she grabs at it and turns her head away. I eventually give up and just let her "feed" herself which means some food gets in her mouth but most of it get everywhere else.
Let me know if you have any tips on how to get her to eat more.
On a completely unrelated note, we're taking our first family beach trip this Sunday. We'll be gone from the 16th to 19th and I am so excited! Natalie HATES car rides with a passion and it's a four hour trip each way, so we're going to have a really good time driving.
Also let me know if you have any tips on how to keep her from screaming her head off in the car.
|Not so sure about the pickle.|
